From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Texas has led the nation with the highest projected number of people who will experience food insecurity in the United States. In a report from Feeding America, more than 4.8 million Texas residents, including 1.7 million children, will not have consistent access to meals.
The NTFB team works tirelessly with 200+ agency partners to increase access to nutritious foods for these individuals through their mobile food pantry and food bank locations across the North Texas area. Due to the unprecedented health and economic circumstances caused by COVID-19, its is estimated that 42 million people may experience food insecurity in 2021.
In response, ACE Cash Express (ACE), a Populus Financial Group brand, recently raised $5,475 for the North Texas Food Bank that could provide up to 16,425 nutritious meals.
How ACE Cash Express Helps the North Texas Food Bank?
ACE realizes that many of our neighbors might still experience food insecurity due to the economic hardship caused by the pandemic. In seeing this need, we have partnered with NTFB to help close the hunger gap in North Texas through our annual Give a Little Campaign.
The Give a Little Campaign
Give a Little is ACE’s national campaign to support charities chosen by employees. These charities are focused on supporting education, promoting financial literacy, and helping children. By supporting the North Texas Food Bank, ACE can donate funds to provide food for thousands suffering from food insecurity in North Texas.
